For those who are more inquisitive, a visit to the Rudolfova Štola (Rudolph Gallery) is definitely worth a visit. This tunnel was built in the 16th century to provide water to the Royal Game Preserve and it is unique in the world.

Another popular place for leisure activities is Letná Park, the second-largest park in Prague 7. The name is taken from the place name Leteň, meaning a sunny hill, a hill that faces the south. During the reign of Emperor Charles IV grapevines were planted on the slopes of the Letná Plain. In the 17th and 18th century the vineyards gradually fell to ruin as a result of the frequent military events on Letná, as well as in other areas in what was then the environs of Prague. As early as the end of the 17th century the Letná hill was almost empty, even though an ancient chestnut alley stood here. Today Letná Park is a popular recreational site for the city’s inhabitants and visitors. It offers beautiful views of Prague Castle and also the Old Town, Lesser Town, Petřín and other peripheral neighbourhoods of the city centre.
