There are lots of stunning cosy parks where you can picnic and enjoy the picturesque historical buildings and the amazing architectonical masterpieces located only in Karlín. The great thing about Karlín is that this is not a touristy area, and still it is almost in the very heart of the city, so you will feel like in a refreshing oasis away from the packed places full of tourists and busy locals. Restaurants with a soul/spirit/character like Charleston(live music), Nejen Bistro(best josper-grilled meat/fish/vegie venue with open kitchen) and Karlinsky Mlyn (a typical Czech pub with humanly-friendly owner/staff) or the most famous and world-class Prague cafe Můj šálek kávy (My cup of coffee) as well as the only Prague Michelin star restaurant ESKA are all located 5 minutes from the house. Even if you stayed only in Karlín and skipped everything else, you will always want to return! :) The biggest park called Vítkov with the most spectacular view of The Old Town is just above the house 7 minutes up the Karlínsky tunnel connecting Karlín with Žižkov which is another very characteristic Prague district with the spectacular statue of the famous medieval warrior Jan Žižka also known as John The One-Eyed, who was the most devoted follower of his spiritual highness Jan Hus, riding his horse overlooking the downtown and protecting it from bad vibes & spirits. The renowned Musical Theater Karlín is situated just 10 minutes from the house and you can enjoy the fabulous Czech musical stars such as Lucka Bílá(Carmen), Vojta Dyk(Sherlock Holmes) and Vašek Noid Bárta (Jesus Christ Superstar) over there. :)
